Having problems with your gadgets staying juiced up with power and operational throughout the day ? Fear not ’cause the Japan’s telecommunications giant NTT came out with a special shoe which generates electricity as the user walks. The shoes have a small generator attached to water-filled soles. Each step puts pressure on the soles, causing the water to spin a small turbine and generate power. The futuristic shoes currently generate 1.2 watts of electricity, which is a level of power sufficient to run an iPod player forever, as long as the wearer keeps walking. If only the shoes came with all that hardware inside of something, giving it a slick and appealing look. Yup, that would be nice.
