Final Project

on
For the final project I am creating a machine that is fearful of those around it. What I mean by this is that I want the machine to be nervous. For the prototype I showed the machine being able to draw larger lines as a person got closer, and smaller lines when the person was farther away. I wish to also incorporate sound into this piece and also need to incorporate a way to roll the paper spool.
For the final project I have to consider location, and I feel that this machine will be best suited to be in some sort of corner. I also have to consider if adding another element, such as sound, will mean that there is now too much information being displayed and that those viewing the machine might not understand how the machine behaves.
Questions:
1) Adding the microphone into the machine will mean that there will now be two lines being drawn at the same time. Keeping this in mind, will this distract viewers from the machine, or engage them?
2) Will placing the final machine in the corner of a room make you curious and cause you to explore the machine?
3) Are you able to see enough information from the drawn lines to infer how someone was interacting with the machine. In other words, are the lines a good indication of the interactions thorough time?
