Honestly, this specific model came about more so due to time constraints rather than this being my first, intended idea. As a whole, I’ve been pretty interested in the concept of things being reclaimed by nature, especially man-made structures, constructs, etc. As it pertains to this, the “alternate anatomy” is mostly implied, rather than actual, but my inspiration came from a random Google search on the same subject1, and the rest came together fairly quickly and straightforward(-ish). Music is a rather large part of my life, especially considering how much of it I make nowadays, and the idea of messing around with a piano isn’t novel from my end, but just makes a lot of sense. (My original idea is related in concept, but now involves rigging models and modeling terrain and it’s Monday and it’s just an entire clusterf-)
Anyway, this is nowhere near “finished”, and isn’t even painted in Meshmixer or Maya where I originally modelled this out, but hopefully the concept at least somewhat came through with this rush job. Dimensions (most likely needs to be resized):
- H: 154.72mm
- W: 217.61mm
- D: 97.97mm
- Filaments: Not sure yet, to be honest. I hadn’t gotten that far yet, though I am curious about the metals and this “silk-like” filament
