Ever since the you know what pandemic occurred, I found myself with a lot of time to do things that I wouldn’t really have time to do. Most of that time was organizing myself in the digital world, the world of the internet. This consisted of cleaning out old emails and deleting old files to make space. My laptop has been my number one companion during these harsh times. It’s my gateway to the internet and now it’s essential for school. Without it, I would be struggling to finish assignments, meet with my professors, and just in general my digital profile would be pretty messy. I always tell myself that as long as you take care of your tech, it’ll take care of you. I treat my laptop as my friend and not just a metal/plastic book. For this assignment, I redesigned the interior of my laptop. The internals are replaced with that of human bones and organs to show that my companion is very much alive on the inside. I modeled the organs and bones to mimic the components that make the PC work, So this doesn’t follow 100% traditional human anatomy, but they are all connected at the heart. For example, where the cooling fans would be, I placed the lungs, and where the motherboard/ram would be, I placed the brain there. Some people take for granted their tech, they throw it around or even just push it to its limits without even realizing it, and because of that, this project shows that your laptop can be considered human and that you see it beyond what it can do.

Here is the final product, it came out way better than I expected, not 100% perfect but next time I think a scaled up version would capture all the details of my model.
