Assignment 2 – Hemli’s Coin

I play a lot of Dungeons and Dragons so for our shapeways print I decided to create the talisman through which one of my character’s casts his magic. This specific character, Hemli, is a mischief maker who get’s his power through a pact with an equally mischievious diety named Squelaiche. Squelaiche loves gold, small creatures, and practical jokes. And so he gave Hemli a coin made of pyrite (fools gold) as an arcane focus to use for casting magic. While Hemli’s coin is Pyrite, unfortunately that’s not an option at Shapeways so I settled for bronze with a polished finish. The coin is 1.5″ (38.1mm) in diameter and just under a tenth of an inch in thickness (2.12mm). One side of the coin depicts a lucky four leaf clover, while the other depicts the pointed cap that Squelaiche is known to wear. Both sides also have several arcane runes embossed around the central images.
