Pistol Butterfly was originally going to be a piece where when skinned the shape would be of a butterfly and then when constructed, forms a pistol. unfortunately due to some difficulties getting the idea to work, I compromised and combined both a pistol and a butterfly. The idea behind it was to send a war and peace message, a butterfly represents the beauty of nature while the pistol represents to ugliness of warfare. The skinned model only takes up 2 sheets of construction paper and uses 12 pieces to assemble. the skinned pdf shows an outline of the pistol, it just shows up everywhere and I like to think of most of the shapes to be weapons – swords and again that pistol. I also saw that some pieces looked like birds flying which I thought was pretty nice.

Here is the final product, required a bit of tape but come out very nice. This is a more revised version as the first was way too small to work with. I chose black because I thought it would match what the color of most pistols usually are.

Here is the original, about 90% finished, It would have been a bit difficult to complete as the pieces were very tiny but, I tried.
