I choose to apply this pattern to a 3D rendering of a human skull. I plan on perusing Medical illustration and have a fascination with the human skeleton. This exercise was a great starter to learn the basics in Meshmixer. This photo actually reminds me of a genetic disease called Osteopathia striata cranial sclerosis. Osteopathia is a type of skeletal dysplasia. This Dysplasia is linked to a genetic conditions that affect the bones and hinder growth and development. The disease can actually create holes in the human skull.
