This 3D model is of one of my favorite plants Commelina communis also known by the common name the Asiatic Dayflower. I started by flattening and shaping some spheres into the shapes of petals. I used the primative of the arm with a fist for the stamens and altered it with a stencil to give texture. Finally I found some flowers on thigiverse that I took the leaves from and added to my 3D model. The final dimensions ended up being 6″ x 2.5″ x 4″ and it was printed in SLA.
