I didn’t really choose these images on purpose, as I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do at the time. But I liked the look and feeling of them after they were processed into black and white. I chose the two materials because I was curious about how they would look after laser engraving. I really liked the rough surface texture after they were engraved, which made me want to pet them. Acrylic has the feel of frosted glass and bubble-filled ice in the light, which is what I’m obsessed with.
