My final project was about one of my favorite games, one of its characters was built by me in a unique way into the real world. My project consisted of four items, three of which were 3D printed resin models (SLA), while the other was put together using laser-cut acrylic sheets. The 3D printed resin I used was white, my original plan would have used transparent, other ideas were transparent, black transparent, and white, but due to a change in plans, my vision became all white. The three white 3D printed models are modified from human hands, three different shapes. The first one is a normal hand. The second one is two hands overlapping each other. The third is a gradient of two hands gradually separated. And the use of transparent acrylic to laser-cut the model is a proxy for “treasure”, that is, to represent precious things.

The story is like this: when the player has the treasure, the player’s inner self also desires to have the treasure, so the player’s inner self tries to break away from the body to grab the treasure, which is the reason why the other hand emerges from the original hand.

Originally, I used transparent resin for 3D printing just because I like transparent models. The white color was also used because it is simple and represents purity, and has no other meaning. The other part of the plan was that the “inner” hands that emerged from the original hands could be painted black as a symbol to distinguish the “player” from the “inner” hands, black and white.
More thinking is the unfinished part. The goal I want to achieve is a 3D model of a whole arm, with more palms wrapped around it, holding the “player’s” arm in a death grip, preventing the “player” from getting the precious treasure.
