The original intention of this project was to create a utopian-like setting, with serene mountains and flowing water, as well as incorporating elements of small games. The final product is a scene block that can be easily modified and rearranged, much like a puzzle. However, the initial model size was not suitable for cutting into pieces that could be easily assembled and disassembled like a puzzle, so I had to redesign the scene and add some small buildings and simple decorations. The finished artwork was entirely created using Maya and a CNC machine. I used Maya to design the entire scene, including its size, height, outline, and sketch, which were all tested in Maya before being imported into the CNC software. Then, the CNC machine took almost eight hours to cut the material into the finished product. The material chosen for this work was foam, and nothing else was used.
